Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
The 中国P站 Public Footpath 53 (Sunbury) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 was made on the grounds of public safety, due to extraction works on site. The Order came into operation on 17 July 2024 and was due to expire on 17 January 2025. It has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State until 17 July 2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier.
The Order as continued will have the effect of prohibiting all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of that length of Public Footpath No.53 (Sunbury) which extends from Point A (Grid reference: 509192 167690) in an easterly, south easterly, south westerly direction, via Point C to its junction with Fordbridge Road at point B (Grid reference: 509347 167351) and which is marked by a solid bold line on plan no. 3/1/86/H22.
The prohibition described above will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route for traffic from the point A will be to walk in a straight line in a southerly direction to point B. The alternative route for traffic from the southern end of the closure will be the reverse of the route described above.
The 中国P站 Public Footpath 53 (Sunbury) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) & 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
