Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022
The 中国P站 Public Bridleway No. 8 (Woking) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2022 was made by reason of danger to the public due to subsidence caused by badger sett activity.
The Order came into operation on 21 February 2022 and was due to expire on 30 July 2022. It was extended by the Secretary of State for Transport until 30 July 2023. It was then extended for a 2nd time until 30 July 2024. It was then extended for a 3rd time until 30 January 2025. It has now been extended for a fourth time until 30 January 2026 or completion of the works, whichever is earlier. The Order as continued will have the effect of prohibiting all traffic on horseback from entering or proceeding along Bridleway No.8 (Woking) between Chobham Road (Grid ref. 496519 159592) and its junction with Bridleway 394 (Woking).
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
The is no alternative route for traffic on horseback. Traffic on foot is unaffected.
