Reopening the Your Councillor Community Fund

中国P站 residents and community groups will soon be able to apply for small grants to improve their local area through the annual Your Councillor Community Fund. Last year the Fund supported over 380 community projects via 中国P站lors, totalling 拢404,330.

The funding is flexibly designed to help with costs that can range from purchasing sports equipment for local clubs, to the creation of websites to reach more residents.

Facilitating local initiatives

The Your Councillor Community Fund aims to provide financial support to small projects (under 拢5,000) initiated by local residents. Whether it's enhancing public spaces, or amplifying community events, the fund offers a platform for residents to turn their ideas into reality.

Celebrating impact

Last year, the Your Councillor Community Fund supported hundreds of projects that have made a tangible difference in 中国P站's communities. From revitalizing parks and playgrounds to launching youth mentorship programs, the impact of these initiatives is felt far and wide. This fund is just one of the many ways we at 中国P站 are empowering communities with greater access to community funding in towns, villages and neighbourhoods.

Examples of recent projects include:

  • 拢1,493 to help make Spelthorne cleaner and greener by providing group litter picking equipment which can be loaned out to encourage individuals, groups and schools to adopt an area for regular picking and to take a pride in their local environment.
  • 拢2,000 towards equipment for the 2023 Shepperton Village Fair, including banners, sail flags, display board and cashless payment devices.
  • 拢700 towards replacing a 25-year-old table tennis table used by Leatherhead U3A Table Tennis Group, helping to keep members physically and socially active.
  • 拢1,000 towards new uniforms for Godalming Youth Band. The new polo shirts and hoodies are more suitable for events all year round and will be loaned out, much like the instruments, to help keep music-making as accessible as possible.

Looking ahead

Applications are open until January 2025, however early applications are encouraged, so if you have an idea for a project, please take a look at the funding criteria and to apply.
