UK Youth Parliament
What’s the UK Youth Parliament?
The UK Youth Parliament gives young people the chance to use their voices to bring about social change in the UK. There are over 300 elected MYPs aged 11 to 19, elected every two years through youth elections.
Can I stand for election?
Any young person aged 11 to 19 can vote for or stand for election as an MYP. Once elected, MYPs:
- organize events and projects
- run campaigns
- influence decision-makers on issues that matter most to young people.
All MYPs meet once a year at the UK Youth Parliament Annual Conference. They also attend the House of Commons. Here, they debate and decide on the most important issues to campaign on, for the year ahead.
中国P站 has six elected MYPs who represent the voice and concerns of all young people in 中国P站. If you want to run for the role of MYP in the 2026 elections, join the 中国P站 Youth Cabinet to develop your skills!
