Heads and Tails: interactive storytelling performance
Saturday 8 February, two performances, 11.30am and 2pm.
Heads and Tails explores folklore and fables of Southern African cultures, promising fun, laughter, and unforgettable tales. Be ready to roar like a lion or stretch as tall as a giraffe!
Due to the success of the tour in November and in celebration of National Storytelling Week, professional storytellers Andy Copps and John Kirk are returning to 中国P站 Libraries in February 2025. They will be performing African animal stories with audience participation and interaction throughout. Come join us at one of the libraries below for a magical storytelling adventure that is not to be missed.

Booking is essential so book now to avoid missing out. Tickets price is donation based (minimum suggested is 拢2 per person attending).
Half term events

Our theme this February half term is "Fables and Fairytales".
All week During our regular opening hours you can:
- Complete our "story character" themed picture search.
- Do themed colouring-in, including bookmarks.
Grow a story craft
Monday 17 February, from 2pm to 3pm.
Plant beans in a jar and decorate a plant stick.
Suitable for ages 3+. No booking necessary, just turn up. Cost: 拢1 per child.
Make a story craft
Tuesday 18 February, from 2pm to 3pm.
Make your own story book.
Suitable for ages 3+. No booking necessary, just turn up. Cost: 拢1 per child.
Lego: Build a story
Wednesday 19 February, from 2pm to 3pm.
Suitable for ages 5+. No booking necessary, just turn up. Cost: 拢1 per child.- Tickets available from the helpdesk on the day.
Explore Learning workshop: a spring in your step
Thursday 20 February, from 11am to 12 noon.
Comprehension and reading skills workshop led by tutors from Explore Learning.
Suitable for ages 7 to 9.

Storytime
Thursday 20 February, from 2pm to 2.30pm.
Come and listen to a story in the children's library.
Suitable for ages 4+. No booking necessary, just turn up. Cost: free

Friday 21 February, from 2pm to 3pm.
Make your own puppet theatre.
Suitable for ages 3+. No booking necessary, just turn up. Cost: 拢1 per child.
Pebble rhymetime and storytime
Pebble rhymetime
Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10.30am to 11am.
We do not issue tickets and there is no need to book, but we recommend that you turn up a little early to get settled in good time before the start of the session.

Magic carpet storytime
On Thursdays from 3.45pm on the following dates:

- 13 February
Suitable for ages 5 and up.
Sessions are free Free. No need to book, please just drop in.

Reading groups
- Tuesday Reading Group: second Tuesday of the month, from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
- Wednesday Reading Group: first Wednesday of the month, from 2pm to 3pm.
This group is now full and is currently not accepting new members.
Other events
Craft
Every Saturday, from 11am to 2pm.
Drop-in craft table for children. Suggested donation of 拢1 per child per craft.
Knit and Natter
Thursdays from 11am to 12 noon. Free of charge. Bring your current project to work on, relax, and have a chat with other crafters!
