Super Access: Introduction at Horley Library

Book your slot for an introduction to Super Access.

Any full 中国P站 Libraries member can upgrade to Super Access membership allowing you to enter the library using your library membership card outside normal opening hours and use library services independently when staff are not present.

Before Super Access is enabled on a borrower's account, we are asking everyone to have a branch introduction with us so library staff can show you how the system works and how to use the library in Super Access mode. We have multiple dates and times to choose from and will continue to add more, so book your library introduction today to access this great service at Horley Library.

Free event. Maximum of 6 children plus their parent/carer

A designated room with low lighting, sensory toys and a separate "quiet" room next door.

Booking necessary. Parents attending sessions as a lone adult are welcome to bring along a maximum of two children. We understand that some children may need a higher level of support to ensure their safety and participation, and in these circumstances, it might be helpful for a lone parent to bring along one child only initially.

Book by emailing horleylibraryevents@surreycc.gov.uk or call 03456 009 009 (click option 6 and ask for Horley Library) or ask at the Help Desk in the Library.

Please note: you can only book one session at a time, in date order. Now taking bookings for Saturday 5 April.

Storytime

Active storytime

Fridays in term time only, from 10.30am until 11am.

Active Storytime is a fun, interactive session aimed at pre-schoolers. We read a story, sing a song, and then do a couple of simple and fun activities (such as a game, a teddy bear hunt around the library, or a simple craft) on a different theme each week. Please wear clothes suitable for play/craft.

Suitable for ages 2 to 5.

No booking needed, just turn up!

Cost: 拢1 per child.

BookTrust storytime

Monthly on a Saturday from 2pm to 2.30pm.

A free event to help you engage in books and stories with your child/grandchild. Perfect for people who have not been to the library much before (but familiar faces are welcome too!)

We read two books together, then do rhymes, colouring or crafts related to the stories. Children will also be given a sticker book, where they can collect a sticker for each book they've read, and can vote for their favourite stories to win the BookTrust Storytime prize.

Recommend for children aged 5 and under. No need to book.

Upcoming dates:

  • 15 March
  • 12 April
  • 10 May
